2024 Public Participation Plan
As both a user of the regional transportation system in Whatcom County, and as a funder through the various local, state, and federal taxes paid, community members have a say in the planning, development, and management of Whatcom County’s transportation network. Public engagement is a critical step in building a collaborative environment that produces plans and systems that capture the values and priorities of citizens in the region. Whatcom Council of Governments (WCOG) has developed this Public Participation Plan to describe how it currently seeks public participation in its planning process and what goals have been set to increase public engagement in its efforts.
